Decatur, IL - A Decatur Firefighter is recovering after a morning fire became too hot to handle. Firefighters were called to a home at 527 S. Boyd in Decatur right before 7 a.m. They say the fire started in a closet and raged through the first floor and attic. The flames also damaged a house nearby. One firefighter was taken to the hospital for heat related illness and released later. No one was home when the fire began and firefighters are now investigating to find a cause.
