CLINTON, Ill. (WAND) — Following a failure of their monthly water testing last week, the Clinton Water Department sent in additional samples to be tested by the Illinois EPA.
John Wise, Clinton City Commissioner, told WAND News that the first round of EPA testing on their samples sent in on January 9th passed with no flagging.Â
Wise said that they have sent in additional samples to the EPA, and he expects that they will be run early tomorrow morning. Following testing, Wise said that he expects the city of Clinton will receive an official report from the EPA about the water samples Tuesday morning, following results of the testing.
Wise told WAND that depending on the results of the EPA report, he hopes to lift the boil order sooner rather than later.
