SPRINGFIELD, Ill. (WAND) — The victim from an early morning shooting in Springfield on Saturday has been identified.

The Sangamon County Coroner said 36-year-old Rekeea Jackson-Mason was shot and killed at a home on Holly Drive.

Springfield Police responded around 3:30 a.m. Officers found Jackson-Mason with a gunshot wound when they arrived. 

She was taken to the hospital, where she died.

Police are still looking for the shooter. Anyone with information is asked to call the Springfield Police Department at 217-788-8311.
