URBANA, Ill. (WAND) - Gov. JB Pritzker announced a second round of regional site readiness awards, creating jobs and developing businesses across the state.

A state readiness program was introduced in 2025 to create more jobs and push the private sector in the right direction.

State and local leaders say the investment will help local organizations and programs.

Pritzker said it's an important step forward for Illinois as a competitive state.

"We're beating competitor states in the United States, more often than ever before. We are leaving no stone unturned and no question unresolved as we clear the path for prosperity in every Illinois community," Pritzker said.
