DECATUR, Ill. (WAND) - The Macon County Sheriff's Office recognizes one of their own for competing in a national competition.Â
In a social media post on Thursday, Sheriff Root celebrated Deputy Seth Major after he recently competed in four throwing events at the 2025 World Police and Fire Games in Alabama.
According to the post the deputy major competed in four events including, Shot Put, Discus, Javelin, and Hammer Throw, and brought home four medals!
Deputy Major earned three silver medals for shot put, discus, and the hammer throw, and a bronze medal in the javelin.Â
