DECATUR, Ill. (WAND) - An associate professor at Millikin University will be featured in a Brazilian movie.

The film centers around a Brazilian music album that Associate Professor of Music Mark Tonelli made after several years of work.

A Brazilian filmmaker was inspired by the process and decided to make a movie about the story behind the album.

Tonelli said it's a love story between two countries and inspires others to find their own stories.

"When I went there, it was really the people I fell in love with. The warmest, kindest, most affectionate people. What I hope people walk away with is: wow, there's a whole world out there. Brazil is one country that this guy fell in love with, but that could happen to me," Tonelli said.

"Brasiliana" will be released publicly after it's presented at festivals.

Additional details on the film are available on Instagram.
