CHAMPAIGN, Ill. (WAND) — Parkland College's extended campus is under a lockdown after a reported shooting near campus Wednesday.
According to the college, Parkland on Mattis entered a lockdown around 12 p.m. after a reported shooting near the corner of Mattis Avenue and Parkland Way.
That is near the Community Education at Parkland College building.
The college said three suspects are at large. All three are men reportedly wearing black clothes, according to Parkland.
Parkland on Mattis is under a lockdown until further notice. All afternoon classes scheduled on the Mattis campus were cancelled. The school said a determination on evening classes will be made later in the afternoon.
Parkland's main campus remains open. The college recommended that visitors use the Bradley and Duncan Road entrances.
