SPRINGFIELD, Ill. (WAND) - There will soon be a new way for Illinois residents to register their car at the Springfield DMV.Â
The Illinois Department of Revenue will have a permanent office at the Springfield Flagship Center on South Dirksen Parkway.Â
The office will be open from 7:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday, and from 7:30 a.m. to noon on Saturday.Â
Illinois Secretary of State Alexi Giannoulias said the office will help streamline the process for vehicle title transactions.Â
"Bringing IDOR into the facility means customers can take care of another important step in the vehicle registration process without making an additional trip,"Â Giannoulias said in a statement.Â
