DECATUR, Ill. (WAND) - Executives from around the globe gathered at TCCI's Global Headquarters in Decatur Wednesday morning for a tree planting, a company tradition marking the opening of new buildings.

TCCI was the first recipient of the state's "REV Illinois" Incentive Program, which led to the opening of the company's state-of-the-art global headquarters building.

"This is our headquarters. It's the leadership," said TCCI President Richard Demirjian. "Our management group that's in here, from our employees all the way through the top, we want them to embody our pillars of excellence and show the world that in Decatur, Illinois, we can achieve great things."

TCCI additionally has facilities in China, India, Argentina and Germany.

"As part of bringing everyone together, we wanted to plant a tree that symbolizes our company with all of our key management people, so that [it] can be spread across our organization," Demirjian said.

Demirjian said he is proud to be based in Decatur.

"It's where we're from, but it also is a great community. It's where we come back to. It's globally located for us, and it really embodies who we are as the Demirjians and how we want to grow our company," Demirjian said.
