DECATUR, Ill. (WAND) — A lawsuit has been filed by the guardian of one of three women attacked in a Forsyth group home in January of 2022.

Susie Lauderdale, 56, was attacked by her roommate Carson H. Hagood 42, on Jan. 26, 2022. Hagood is accused of attacking three women at the Hickory Point Terrace facility, all aged between 47-58.

58-year-old Lynn Umphreys died from injuries related to the attack on February 16, 2022.

Last September, the court judged Hagood unable to understand the criminality of his actions and he was found not guilty by reason of insanity.
