LINCOLN, Ill. (WAND) -- Drivers are starting their engines and heading to Lincoln to celebrate the 60th anniversary of the Ford Mustang with a car show. The event made possible by Prynt Digital a new business coming to the Lincoln community and Friends of Ford is meant to bring the local community and car enthusiasts together.Â
Owner of Prynt Digital, Cale West, says, "They are kind if just going out and wanting to kind of get everybody as a collective un the community to kind of share the pride and joy of owning a Ford Mustang and experiencing a For Mustang."
The streets of Lincoln were lined with cars with owners from all around the Midwest, including Illinois, Nebraska, Kentucky, Missouri, and Wisconsin. The event even piqued the interest of some Mustang owners from states further away like North Carolina and Texas. While cars were the star of the show there was something everyone in the family could enjoy including live music, food, and local vendors.Â
Photo booth operator, Peyton Stamp, says, "I think it's kind of like a nice networking opportunity, I can talk to anybody a lot of people ask me for my business card."
Giving the chance for the Lincoln Community and visitors to come together to enjoy each other's company and check out everything the car show has to offer.Â
"Everybody that I have come in contact with has been super super kind. The people running the event have been super kind and I haven't had a bad experience with anybody so far. It has only been positives."
Organizers say that cars are one of their passions, but they hope to better the community as they move their business into town.Â
"I want to revive the area and that's why we're redoing one of the old, abandoned buildings and that's kind of one of the biggest goals and just for everybody to have a good time, give away some free merchandise and have a good Saturday."
This was just the first event hosted by Prynt Digital in the Lincoln community, but they hope to host many more in the future.Â
