DECATUR - One local business is celebrating its 45th anniversary with a very unique giveaway.
The Northgate Barber Shop, located at 2605 North Water Street in Decatur, is celebrating 45 years in business with a silver dollar giveaway. Every customer who purchases a haircut on June 17 will receive a 1971 silver dollar, which commemorates the opening of the shop on June 17, 1971.
Northgate Barber Shop owner Bob Stelbrink says the secret to his business' longevity is determination, and adds that he loves what he does. "The people I work with are like family," says Stelbrink.
Northgate Barber Shop is open from 9:00 a.m. until 6:00 p.m. Mondays through Fridays, and from 8:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. on Saturdays.
