(WAND) - A peanut butter recall impacting 20 states has been updated by the Food and Drug Administration.Â
The FDA warns the products may contain pieces of plastic.Â
The recall was originally initiated by Ventura Foods LLC in April 2025. On Feb. 12, it was made a Class II recall by the FDA. Class II means exposure to the product could result in temporary health problems.Â
The recall impacts affects thousands of packs and cups of creamy peanut butter. The products were distributed under a number of private label brands, including US Foods, DYMA Brands, Flavor Fresh, Sysco House Recipe, Katy’s Kitchen, and Gordon Food Service.
The peanut butter came in a variety of small quantities, including single serve cups and packets. It also included small individual servings of grape jelly, the FDA said.
