Springfield, Ill. (WAND) – One man is behind bars in connection to an early morning shooting in Springfield.
Police say 19-year-old Liam Downing shot into a home, wounding a man inside. Witnesses told police Downing kicked open the door before opening fire.
The victim suffered a gunshot to his shoulder and is expected to be ok. Police took Downing to the Sangamon County Jail and charged him with Aggravated Battery with a Firearm.Â
