SPRINGFIELD, Ill. (WAND) - Job seekers interested in a career in public safety will have a chance to connect directly with recruiters as the Sangamon County Sheriff’s Office hosts a hiring event on Saturday, November 15.
The job fair runs from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. in the Atrium of the Sangamon County Building, located at 200 South Ninth Street in Springfield.
The event will highlight a wide range of career opportunities within the Sheriff’s Office, including roles in law enforcement, corrections, and support services.
Attendees can speak with department representatives, ask questions about the hiring process, and take part in on-site testing and assessments.
Sheriff Paula Crouch says the event is designed to make the application process more accessible for anyone interested in serving their community.
“The Sheriff’s Office is looking for motivated individuals who are ready to serve our community,” Crouch said. “This event is designed to give applicants a convenient, one-stop opportunity to explore rewarding careers in public safety.”
Candidates are encouraged to bring a valid ID. Staff will be available throughout the day to provide information on job requirements, training, and available benefits.
In addition to Sheriff’s Office positions, Sangamon County Court Services will also be on hand to share details on open roles for Probation Officers and Detention Officers.
For more information about job openings and application requirements, visit the Sheriff’s Office website or call (217) 753-6855.
