DECATUR, Ill. (WAND) — Scammers are calling people pretending to be with Buena Vista National Bank's debit processor, according to an email sent out by the bank.
The email says customers are receiving calls that appear to come from the bank's debit card processor, SHAZAM. The caller ID may even show "SHAZAM" or "ITS INC" and their phone number.
The bank says that neither them nor SHAZAM will ask for personal information over the phone.
If you receive a call you think is a scam, the bank says to hang up and call them directly at a trusted phone number.
