HARRISTOWN, Ill. (WAND) — On Thursday, November 14, a school bus accident on Interstate 72 around 9:40 p.m. left nine bus passengers hurt near Harristown.
The Harristown Fire Protection District said on their Facebook page, they and the Niantic Fire Protection District, and the Warrensburg Fire Protection District responded to the accident after being informed of multiple injuries.
Emergency personnel at the scene provided care and transported nine passengers via ambulance to a local hospital. The other passengers were released to the care of their parents or guardians.
