DECATUR, IL- A Decatur man shot by police outside a South Shore's bar will go on trial May 14.

Kevin Kremer, 47, faces aggravated battery to a police officer and other charges in connection with an October 2009 incident at The Wharf.

Police say Kremer was being disorderly and officers used pepper spray and a tazer in an effort to subdue him.

Officers say Kremer then went after an officer's gun, which fired and hit him in the chest.
