Champaign - A decision to go ahead with classes on the University of Illinois campus, during cold weather got students talking on social media.

The comments made on Twitter turned to attacks and racial comments toward Chancellor Phyllis Wise for her decision. The hash tag trending on Twitter---F***Phyllis, with more than two thousand tweets.   Most of the posts from Sunday night have been removed, the accounts inaccessible. Now, Wise is speaking out about the "juvenile" comments made.

She said "the comments were disturbing, unnecessary, but could be dismissed as juvenile." However, she believes the comments are protected speech. Â
