(WAND)- On Tuesday, Democratic and Republican primary elections were held in the cities of Urbana and Lincoln.

In Urbana, Deshawn Williams is leading the mayoral race with over 64% of the votes, while Annie Adams has garnered 21% of the votes with 21 out of 23 precincts reporting.

In the Ward 2 Alderman race, Christopher Evans edged out Larry Lister to win the Democratic primary. In Ward 6, Grace Wilken won the Democratic primary to hold onto her seat. 

In Lincoln's mayoral race, Tracy Welch has received 75% of the votes. Craig Eimer has 10%, and Elizabeth Ann Davis-Kavelman has 14%. All precincts in Lincoln have reported.

The races for Alderman were closely contested. Dennis L. Clemons, Sr. won the Ward 3 seat with 50.7% of the vote, narrowly defeating Wanda Lee Rohlfs, who received 49.3%.
 
In another tight race for the Ward 4 position, Rhonda O'Donoghue secured the seat with 55% of the vote, while her opponent, Verl Prather, garnered 45%.
