CERRO GORDO - The Cerro Gordo Community Foundation has announced it will honor the service of American veterans with the dedication of the Cerro Gordo Veterans Memorial and Veterans Park on August 20.
The event will begin at 2:00 p.m., and will include a flag raising ceremony. Attendees will also be updated on the progress of the Veterans Memorial.
Memorial Organizer Ivan Williams says, “The Cerro Gordo Veterans Park and Memorial honors those who have served in the Air Force, Army, Coast Guard, Marines, Merchant Marines and the National Guard in peace and conflict.”
