SPRINGFIELD, IL- A Riverton woman has been arrested and accused of stealing thousands of dollars from an area church.
Buffalo-Mechanicsburg Police arrested Deborah Moore, 46, on charges she stole about $160,000 from the Fountain of Life Methodist Church in Buffalo where she worked.
Police say from October of 2009 until December of last year, Moore would write checks to herself, at times forging the pastor's signature.
Moore is now being held at the Sangamon County Jail on bond of $150,000.
