CHAMPAIGN, Ill. (WAND) - #5 Illinois men's basketball will play in a top-10 road game for the third straight weekend as they head north to take on #10 Michigan State.
The Illini are on a 12-game win streak, which is the program's longest since opening the 2012-2013 season 12-0. It is the longest active winning streak in the Big 10. After a blowout win over rival Northwestern, the orange and blue are 20-3 overall and 11-1 in conference play.
Meanwhile, Michigan State is looking to bounce back after an upset loss on the road at Minnesota. The Spartans lead the series over Illinois 67-64. The last meeting between the two teams ended in a 79-65 Illini loss in Champaign.
