EVANSTON, Ill. (WAND) -- Illinois men's basketball extended their win streak to six games and remains undefeated in road games in the Big Ten after a win Wednesday night against Northwestern.
The Illini earned their first win at Northwestern since 2022 defeating the Wildcats 79-68.
Illinois would hold off some runs Northwestern had late in the game thanks to Tomislav Ivisic dropping 21 points right behind Keaton Wagler with 22.
The team said maturity of the veterans and staying calm is what allows them to keep the lead in tough road environments.
