DECATUR, Ill. (WAND) — St. Teresa High School's track and field and cross country coach Todd Vohland announced his retirement from coaching.
Vohland has worked at the school since 1999 and has been the head coach for 19 seasons. During his time as head coach, he led St. Teresa to four IHSA state championships and an NHSCA national championship.
Vohland was also inducted to the Illinois Track and Cross County Coaches Association's Hall of Fame in 2018.
"Coach Vohland is one of the biggest reasons I chose to pursue a career in education. The lessons he taught me — both in the classroom and on the basketball court — have helped shape the person I am today," said St. Teresa Athletic Director Tom Noonan. "His impact is lasting, and I'm grateful to have learned from one of the very best."
