This morning started cool with temperatures in the low 60s, but expect them to climb into the low 80s this afternoon. The good news? Lower humidity and northeast winds around 10 mph will keep it feeling pleasant. Feels-like temperatures will stay in the low 80s — no sticky heat today.
One thing to note: wildfire smoke from out west will give the sky a hazy appearance this afternoon. It won't impact your plans, but you may notice the sun looks a bit dimmer than usual.
Thursday: Slightly Warmer
Thursday will be another decent day, though a touch warmer. Temperatures will climb into the mid-80s — right where they should be for late July. Humidity will creep up just a bit, so feels-like temperatures could push into the upper 80s. Mostly sunny skies will continue through the day.
Rain Arrives Friday, Continues Through Saturday
The calm stretch ends Friday as a cut-off low-pressure system moves into the Midwest. Cloudy skies will take over from the west, and rain chances will increase Friday afternoon and evening.
Here's what to expect: Rain could be steady to heavy through Saturday afternoon. The National Blend of Models forecasts 0.75 to 1.50 inches of rain Friday and Saturday, with higher amounts possible north of I-74. High temperatures will remain in the upper 70s with rain in place.
Most of the rain should clear out overnight Saturday into Sunday, though some scattered showers could linger into Sunday afternoon and evening.
