A quiet start to the weekend

DECATUR, IL. (WAND) - Happy Fri-YAY! We’ve made it to the weekend, and it’s shaping up to be a great one.

We’ll start the day with plenty of sunshine this morning. This will help warm us up quickly as highs reach the low 80s this afternoon. However, by the afternoon, we’ll also be seeing increased cloud cover across the region. Aside from an occasional breezy and partly sunny skies, things will remain quiet into the evening.

Tonight, more moisture filters in thanks to low pressure upstream. With multiple disturbances bringing rain across the Mississippi River Valley, a few isolated showers can’t be ruled out for the southwesternmost regions late tonight into early Saturday.

Our Saturday will be mostly dry and cloudy, but a few raindrops will be possible on Sunday as our upper-level ridge briefly weakens.
