DECATUR, Ill. (WAND) - Welcome to Drought Monitor Thursday. This weekly monitor actually runs from 7 a.m. Tuesday to 7 a.m. Tuesday. Data is compiled and released on the following Thursday. Â
This Thursday marks the fifth straight week of no drought across the region. Just a small piece of real estate that is abnormally dry. Â
Speaking of dry (air), the recent dip in humidity will keep things parched tonight. A weak storm will run by to our southeast Friday with only limited showers and a thundershower for us. A good chunk of the three-day holiday weekend will be rain-free. However, there are some showers and a thunderstorm that will be on the prowl from Saturday night into Sunday. Â
