The Illinois Appeals Court has overturned the conviction of a Decatur mother who was sentenced to 6 years in jail for pornography charges. Kelly Nichols was found guilty of possessing child pornography by a Macon County Court in October 2024. On Tuesday, the Illinois Appeals Court overturned the conviction stating the photos of the children in question, were not porn.Â
