CHAMPAIGN, Ill. (WAND) - Vegan dishes will be taking center stage in the C-U area in April. 

The fourth annual Champaign Vegan Chef Challenge will run from April 1 through April 30. 

Diners will have a chance to try vegan menu items and rate dishes prepared by local chefs.

According to the Vegan Chef Challenge, participating restaurants will include The Literary, Papa Del's Pizza, Watson's Shack & Rail, Siam Terrace, El Paraiso, Briks Pizzeria, Good Judys Espresso & Bagel Bar, Big Grove Tavern, Dubai Grill, Whisk Coffee and Wine Bar, Star BBQ, Seven Saints, Neil St Blues, Blue Ethiopian Cuisine & Cafe and more.

The winning dishes will be announced in May, with updates available online.
