CERRO GORDO, Ill. (WAND) - Volunteers at the Cerro Gordo PTO are spreading a little bit of holiday cheer this time of year.

This marks the third year that the group has organized the decorations for the high school, with the theme "Winter Wonderland."

Volunteers said that the idea is to bring the Christmas season right to students and help them get into the holiday spirit.

"So we've kinda got the hang of it, I'd like to say, so we started doing stuff beforehand, and then we just come in and put it up. This year, we were very blessed. My group was very blessed with actually a lot of volunteers. We actually got it done in three days. Sometimes it's taken us Tuesday to Sunday, so this year we were actually done by Friday, so that was great," said volunteer and PTO president Tiffany Miller.

Miller shared that a personal touch was added to the decorations, including pictures of each student so they can all see themselves on the school's walls.
