DECATUR, Ill. (WAND) - Helping central Illinois teachers get what their classrooms need.
Sunshine Supplies for Teachers will host a fundraiser called "Come on Down" at 6 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 21, at the Lincoln Square Theater in Downtown Decatur.
The event will feature a game show format similar to "The Price is Right," and the funds will help give local teachers the necessary supplies for the classroom.
Sunshine Supplies said it serves around 500 teachers each month, and its impact is clear.
"The impact that our nonprofit is having on the educational community is pretty substantial cause we've had teachers that have said, because of coming in and finding those supplies in our store, they are now doing more hands-on activities," said
Doors will open at 5:30 p.m., and those interested can buy tickets at the door or online.
