SPRINGFIELD, Ill. (WAND) — Support one, support all — that was the mission during the Empower All Abilities Conference Saturday.
The conference held at Lanphier High School was a free event dedicated to supporting and celebrating students of all abilities and their families.
Experts were in attendance giving insight on topics like ADHD, autism and behavioral challenges. The conference featured a keynote presentation from storyteller and international educator Dr. Shelley Moore.
"I think days like today are really important because you're reminded that you're not alone in this work and that there's a lot of people who are on the same page and want to move forward," said Moore.
