DECATUR, Ill. (WAND) - The Prairie Land FAME program, in partnership with ADM, Workforce Investment Solutions and Richland Community College, is hosting a Family Recruitment Night.Â
The event will be on Tuesday, Feb. 10, from 5 – 7 p.m. It will be held at the National Sequestration Education Center, located at 3357 N. President Howard Brown Blvd., on Richland Community College’s campus.
The Family Recruitment Night event is open to families and high school students in Macon County and surrounding communities who are interested in enrolling in the second cohort of the Prairie Land FAME program starting August of 2026.

Prairie Land FAME program offers a pathway for high school students, who are graduating or have graduated, to achieve an associate degree from Richland Community College while working three days a week for a partnering organization.

Students will earn more than 1,800 hours of on-the-job experience working in an apprenticeship-style training setting. Graduates can also go on to pursue engineering or engineering technology bachelor’s degrees at the school of their choice. Nearly 90 percent of graduates in the Prairie Land FAME program across North America have secured full-time roles with their sponsoring employer upon graduation.
