DECATUR, Ill. (WAND) - Residents at Primrose Retirement Community in Decatur took some time to give back to local students.
It was part of an annual celebration of Random Acts of Kindness Day.
The residents put together gift baskets to hand out to students at Richland Community College, who said it was a nice way to celebrate the holiday.
"We always pick a college, and the residents make treat bags for students that might need some kindness or love shown to them today," said Primrose Executive Director Margaret Miller.
Random Acts of Kindness Day began in 1995 as a local celebration in Denver, Colorado.
