CHAMPAIGN, Ill. (WAND) - A historic building at the University of Illinois recently celebrated its 100th birthday, which also involved a time capsule!
The University hosted a special program at Huff Hall to celebrate, opening a capsule from 1924, when groundbreaking for the Huff Gym had begun.
Inside the capsule were vintage photos, posters and a newspaper dating back to the day it was sealed.
Everything was in great condition, due to how well the box was sealed and stored.
Additional history on the facility is available on the U of I's website.
