BLUE MOUND, Ill. (WAND) — A Blue Mound village employee was recently terminated and could possibly have legal action brought against her.
The village board voted to terminate Jennifer Prasun at a meeting on July 1st. According to minutes from the meeting, employees and board members were encouraged not to discuss particular issues and were instructed to say that she was terminated due to "Actions detrimental to the Village."
The motion to terminate Prasun was carried with unanimous consent.
In the minutes, Blue Mound Police Chief Chad Lamb said that he had reached out to Illinois State Police for guidance and had sent them details and evidence.
WAND News has reached out to ISP to confirm whether there has been an investigation into Prasun.
