No confidence vote issued against assistant fire chief

TAYLORVILLE, Ill. (WAND) - The Christian County Emergency Management Agency (CCEMA) has suspended all open burning of yard waste and combustible materials due to ongoing dry conditions and high wildfire risk.

This suspension is effective immediately and will remain until weather conditions improve.

Residents are encouraged to use alternative disposal methods, such as mulching, composting, or safely storing debris.

The CCEMA will monitor the situation and provide updates as necessary.
