No confidence vote issued against assistant fire chief

TAYLORVILLE, Ill. (WAND) - The Christian County Emergency Management Agency (CCEMA) announced Monday that it has lifted its open burning of yard waste and combustible materials.

The CCEMA posted on Facebook that recent rainfall has lowered the fire risk in the county.

CCEMA also said that field and residential fires caused by open burning were "dramatically lower" compared to recent years.

Christian County residents are encouraged to continue exercising caution when open burning.
