House fire in Decatur

The Decatur Fire Department responded to the 1500 block of E. Vanderhoof St. 

DECATUR, Ill. (WAND) - Emergency responders were called out for a house fire in Decatur Tuesday morning. 

The Decatur Fire Department responded to the 1500 block of E. Vanderhoof St. around 8:40 a.m. Someone driving by saw the fire and called 911. 

WAND News saw smoke coming from the home and firefighters on the roof. 

Our crew also saw firefighters bring two men outside the home and load them into an ambulance. The fire department confirms two people were rescued from the home. Their conditions are not known at this time. 

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
