DECATUR, Ill. (WAND) — One person is dead and another hurt after a shooting in downtown Decatur Saturday night. 

Decatur police said they were called to the 200 block of North Church Street just before 9 p.m. for a shooting. 

Police said they found a 35-year-old man who had been shot. He was taken to the hospital where he was pronounced dead. A 23-year-old man who was shot several times was taken to the hospital in a private vehicle. That person's condition was not released by police. 

The names of both people have not been released. It's unclear if they knew each other or their involvement in the shooting. 

The crime scene was in the parking lot behind Hot Shots Bar and Grill and Downtown Cafe and next to the building that housed the former Decatur Club.  

DPD's Criminal Investigations Division is handling the case and has worked to process evidence, collect nearby video surveillance, and interview witnesses.

No arrests have been made.
