MOWEAQUA, Ill. (WAND) - Christian County authorities are looking for answers after over $10,000 in goods were stolen from Moweaqua Golf Course earlier this month. 

The Christian County Sheriff's Office stated in a Facebook post Monday that the department received a call around 2:30 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 3, after a burglar alarm was set off at the Moweaqua Golf Course.

Deputies at the scene found shattered glass, with many items scattered around.

The office said that the merchandise and cash stolen added up to $10,158.85. 

The office added that the suspect was spotted on camera wearing a brown flannel coat, red shirt, black pants "cuffed at the ankle," black Nike shoes, a grey/black hat with a black face covering and had used a headlamp.

The suspect was also said to have used a sledgehammer and a crowbar to break in.
