DANVILLE, Ill. (WAND) - Police arrested a man in connection with an early morning shooting that left a woman injured last month in Danville.Â
The Danville Police Department said it arrested 42-year-old Curtis Butler of Danville around noon on April 14 during a traffic stop.
Danville police stated that Butler was wanted on a warrant for aggravated discharge of a firearm and two counts of unlawful possession of a weapon for his role in the March 29 shooting.Â
Police responded to reports of shots fired just after 3:30 a.m. that day along Beechwood Drive.
Danville police found a 25-year-old woman who had been shot in the leg. She was taken to the hospital and treated for non-life-threatening injuries.
According to DPD, a large gathering had taken place in the area before the shooting happened.
