DECATUR, Ill. (WAND) — The Avon Theater announced the death of owner Skip Huston on Friday.
Huston, who liked to be referred to as the "Head Honcho" of the theater, died on Friday morning, according to the announcement.
The Avon Theater is nearly 109, and Huston ran the ship for more than 20 of those years.
"He loved the theater with all his soul and cherished the relationships built and experiences shared over the years," read part of the announcement.
Rather than flowers, Huston's family set up a GoFundMe to cover funeral costs and support the Avon.
