CHAMPAIGN, Ill. (WAND) - Champaign's Unit 4 School District wants community feedback on the future of its middle school facilities.
District leaders will have an open house from 5:30-7 p.m. on Wednesday in the Jefferson Middle School cafeteria.
There will also be a third session at the same hours on Thursday in Franklin Middle School's cafeteria.
During each meeting, families will tour a middle school and see the building's condition firsthand.
Then they will get a chance to consider different scenarios about the future of the buildings.
"We're trying to determine what is the best way to serve our 2,500 middle school students in the near future and in the long-term across those facilities or maybe a new facility," said Unit 4 Director of Capital Projects and Planning Elizabeth Stegmaier.
