DECATUR, Ill. (WAND) - Heritage Behavioral Health Center has asked the court to dismiss St. Teresa High School's injunction to keep Heritage from moving next to the school's campus.
The motion to dismiss the injunction was filed in Macon County civil court on February 26.
Heritage’s Board of Directors announced in May 2024 they accepted a building donation from Sally Andreas to allow for its expansion of services.
The building is located in Northgate Plaza at 2800 N. Water Street in Decatur— and is several hundred feet from the high school longtime location at 2700 N. Water Street.
Heritage said the move will take 3 to 5 years to complete and will cost $40 million.
In January, St. Teresa filed an injunction asking the courts to block Heritage's move.
