CHAMPAIGN, Ill. (WAND) - Champaign County passed an executive order Tuesday evening imposing new rules on immigration enforcement happening on county property.
The order requires federal officials to remove their face coverings and continuously show a badge from their agency during immigration enforcement operations.
It also requires a judicial warrant be presented whenever immigration enforcement operations are carried out on county property.
The order took effect as soon as it was passed.
