DECATUR, Ill. (WAND) - The Child 1st Center in Decatur has achieved re-accreditation with the National Children's Alliance.Â
The Center announced on Facebook that it received official confirmation of its re-accreditation on Jan. 28.Â
Child 1st said that it has maintained full accreditation status since its first application in 2000.Â
According to the National Children's Alliance, it supports children's advocacy centers nationwide and the work they do in the communities they serve.Â
Child 1st Center was founded in July 1999, offering specialized services to local children who have suffered abuse, neglect, or other trauma while in a safe environment.Â
