ARTHUR, Ill. (WAND) — Arthur Fire and Ambulance fought through the frigid conditions to put out a house fire Sunday morning.
According to the department, the fire started in the attic. Firefighters said putting out the fire was a challenge because of its location in the attic and the extreme temperatures.
The department also thanked its ambulance crews, who were on scene keeping firefighters safe and providing hot coffee to keep them warm.
The fire department said everyone, including all animals, made it out safe.
