SPRINGFIELD, Ill. (WAND) - The Illinois State Fair is going paperless in 2026.
Beginning next year, the fair will have fully digital tickets in partnership with etix, according to the fair's Facebook post Monday.
Fairgoers can add tickets to their phone's digital wallet for easy access, and the fair added that admission and parking can still be paid for at the gate.
While there are no longer paper tickets, guests will continue to receive a physical parking pass for their vehicle's dashboard.
Prior purchases will be digitally converted in January, with fair staff sending all tickets to the provided address at purchase.
